The series of this index has been prepared to enable the students of ginan literature to find out any word, concept or message from the ginans with ease.

How to use this index? There are four columns on each page. In the first column all the important words have been enlisted in alphabetical order. In the second column the text or line has been given in which that particular word has been used. In the third column the beginning of the ginan is given in which that line occurs and in the fourth column the path (verse of stanza) number is given. All the important words of a line have been included in the index. For example the line “senhtar dipme shah jaher betha” can be found at four places, i.e. in the lists of Senhar dip, Shah, Jaher and Betha.

The second volume includes the general ginans of Pir Sadardin (r.a.) with more than 20000 indexed words.
